In our podcast episode #4 in partnership with Westcoast Women in Engineering, Science and Technology (WWEST), we welcome Anne Simonen, a civil engineering technologist at Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd. in Nelson, BC.

Anne mostly works on projects that help get safe drinking water to people’s houses, and the wastewater that goes down drains be safely disposed of, but her favourite part of work is working with contracts and construction. She is a feminist who is passionate about advancing women in engineering, technology, and trades, and volunteers with a number of organizations sharing this goal. In particular, she is a leader of a group of Girl Guides who never get tired of all the STEM & trades activities she plans for them.
